Last month, Bristol proudly hosted the Women’s Rugby World Cup, bringing a buzz to the city and putting women’s sport firmly in the global spotlight.
To mark the moment, we teamed up with Upfest and local artist Melo Grafic to create a bold new artwork on our hoarding at Canons Wharf, celebrating Bristol’s trailblazing women — past, present and future. The piece highlights women who have shaped the city across sport, culture, activism and beyond, while inspiring those who will shape what comes next.
This vibrant backdrop to the Amphitheatre encourages people to stop, look closer and discover the stories behind the faces. Some will be instantly familiar; others may spark curiosity and conversation — together capturing the creativity and determination that define Bristol.
